Introduction

Welcome to my Source Listing for the UK Machin Issues.

The whole reason I created this listing is to have everything in one place.  I do not collect imperforate issues and I could never get into the Direction of Printing so these will not be found on my lists.

Booklets (of all kinds), all coils and leaders, prestige panes, all phosphor varieties, papers, cylinders, gums and types of printing are a part of this list and all of them are together.  No need to look at other lists or pages to find more information.

I have also tried to keep abbreviations to a minimum.  Sure it takes up more space, but I have found too many abbreviations can make things confusing.

One thing that is important is how I have identified multi-value items.  While they are with each value issue, the complete listing of the multi-value item is only with the highest value in the item. The problem with this is the non-value issues (NVI).  I did not use these as the highest value since their value is dependent on the time of issue.  In the few cases where the multi-value item has only NVI then I used the NVI 1st as the highest value.

I have included souvenir sheets and miniature sheets with their respective stamps. The actual listing of the sheet is with the highest value.

I am thankful for the many dealers on-line that have amazing listings of Machin issues.  It is these that I used to put together this list.  For the most part, I have not numbered anything nor is anything in any kind of order other than how I put my collection together. The exception to this is booklet panes, booklets, souvenir sheets and business panes.  The numbers for these are used with the express permission of the Modern British Philatelic Circle. Their website can be found here. Definitely worth the subscription.

I hope you enjoy collecting Machin stamps as much as I have and will continue to do so. Anyone into trading!!!
